We are looking for a career growth minded, driven, motivated individual who desires to develop a career in sales. Through our sales training program, we will help you become a disciplined sales professional with a problem-solving, consultative sales approach. You will initially cover small and medium-sized end users in the industrial and/or PPE markets in the North Carolina territory. As you become more proficient, you will start working with distributors and large-end users across a larger territory.
The territory for this position is North Carolina. The home office location is flexible, but an ideal candidate's home office would be located in the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, or Charlotte areas.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Work with plant safety professionals at small/medium-sized industrial end users to identify safety problems and opportunities to reduce injuries and costs
- →Recommend, specify and/or develop appropriate HexArmor cut/puncture/abrasion/impact resistant solutions
- →Assist customer Safety Management to build economic justification based on reduction in injuries and PPE costs
- →Assist plant and divisional safety management in the roll out of new PPE policies
- →Establish supportive relationships and credibility with local and divisional level safety officers
- →Establish productive relationships and credibility with local and regional and distribution management
- →Support and develop champions at local and regional and safety distribution partners
- →Collaborate with inside sales person(s) at HexArmor using a team-based sales approach when needed. Communicate effectively with inside sales counterpart(s) to keep them informed of territory activities.
- →Provide training for distributors’ inside and outside sales personnel in their region.
- →Works closely with the Director of Sales and/or Regional Sales Manager(s) to organize trips and customer visits.
- →Able to give impactful local level safety presentations.
- →Manages a detailed book of business.
- →Actively seeks relationships/conversations with end users at the field level and small to medium size executive level.
- →Attend industry specific, regional and national safety conferences as required
- →Using Salesforce.com CRM to plan and record daily, weekly, monthly activities
- →Forecast pending and future business in CRM opportunity management system for inventory planning
- →Manage expenses to maintain profitability targets for the region including travel, samples, distributor support
- →Ability to travel up to 60% or more overnight.
Requirements

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently without supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaboratively by phone/email to prospects and customers.
- Process driven and ability to manage customer expectations through the HexArmor solutions process
- Coachability and a passion for learning
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to learn and use CRM---Salesforce.com
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience in an inside or outside sales role.
- A passion for solving problems and working collaboratively with companies
- Experience working for a manufacturer or distributor calling on end users and distributors is a plus, as is proven success in industrial accounts
