The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.

Provides specialized knowledge and experience to support department operations, projects, and improvement efforts. Works with department leadership and staff on specific initiatives that benefit from advanced technical knowledge, operational experience, or familiarity with department processes. Reports to the departmental manager or director.

·       Provides support and expertise for department projects, process improvements, and operational needs.

·       Assists with the development, review, and implementation of procedures, protocols, and workflows.

·       Serves as a resource to department leadership and staff on complex technical or operational issues.

·       Supports special projects where advanced knowledge or previous department experience is beneficial.

·       Provides education, training, and knowledge transfer to staff as needed.

·       Assists with regulatory, accreditation, and quality initiatives related to their area of expertise.

·       Maintains current knowledge in their specialty through continuing education and applicable certification or licensure.

• Education appropriate to the specialty area. Required degree, certification, credentials, and/or licensure must be maintained as applicable.

• Five or more years of experience in the applicable specialty area is preferred.

• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of department operations, technical practices, regulatory requirements, and workflow within the area of expertise
