For more than 118 years, Backus Hospital has been the primary source of healthcare services for much of Eastern Connecticut. We are home to the only trauma center in New London and Windham counties, and are the only area hospital with LIFE STAR helicopter services. We deliver and coordinate a continuum of high-quality healthcare with the goal of improving the health of our communities.

JOB SUMMARY
Assists registered pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing and distribution of sterile and non-sterile medication, maintains records and inventory, following procedural work routines, to ensure medications are ready and available for patient administration. Reports to Pharmacy Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements
Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited PharmD program

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Pharmacy Intern registration with Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection required by March 31st of each year.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
• Requires good communication and analytical skills.
• Requires manual dexterity and basic keyboard skills.
