Working at Atra: Center for Rabbinic Innovation means joining a lean, dynamic team committed to strengthening rabbinic leadership and supporting a thriving Jewish future. Atra equips rabbis with practical tools, adaptive strategies, and community support to meet the evolving needs of the Jewish world. Through cohort-based programs, learning initiatives, and field-building work, we help rabbis lead with vision, resilience, and impact.

As an organization, we are in a period of growth and evolution, expanding our role not only as a provider of high-quality programs, but as a connector, convener, and catalyst within the broader rabbinic ecosystem. Our work increasingly integrates programs, partnerships, research, and innovation to support the field as a whole.

Atra is fiscally sponsored by Hillel International. Our team is primarily based in the New York City area, with a hybrid work model that includes regular in-person collaboration and occasional travel.

The Program Manager plays a central role in executing Atra’s core programs and initiatives. This role owns the delivery and participant experience of a diverse portfolio of work, including cohort-based programs, fellowships, convenings, working groups, and emerging initiatives.

You will work closely with internal team members, facilitators, and partners to bring programs to life, translating program design into high-value, well-run experiences for participants. A key part of this role is building trust and rapport with participants over time, helping create cohort environments that are relational, engaging, and professionally meaningful.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys moving complex work from planning to execution while also holding the human experience at the center. The Program Manager ensures that timelines stay on track, stakeholders are aligned, and programs are delivered with consistency, care, and impact.

This is a hybrid NYC-based role (2+ days per week in person at our Midtown NYC office), with occasional evening events and light travel for programs, convenings, and conferences.

You are a highly organized and relational program professional with 4–6 years of experience. You enjoy turning ideas and plans into thoughtful, well-executed experiences.

In this role, you will thrive in a fast-moving environment where managing multiple stakeholders, timelines, and priorities is essential. You are both detail-oriented and people-centered—able to manage logistics and systems while also contributing to a strong, engaging participant experience. You are comfortable working with groups of professionals and contributing to environments where peers can connect, learn, and engage with one another meaningfully.

You are comfortable coordinating across teams, facilitators, and partners, and you are confident stepping into moments of facilitation or participant support when needed. You take initiative, follow through, and are excited to play a central role in delivering high-impact programs.
