• →Install, terminate, label, test, and repair low- and line-voltage wiring, cable, conduit, junction boxes, panels, and marine fire and life-safety equipment.
• →Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, vessel drawings, and OEM manuals.
• →Use multimeters, insulation-resistance testers, loop testers, and related instruments to verify voltage, continuity, grounding, insulation integrity, and circuit operation.
• →Troubleshoot power supplies, detection and notification circuits, modules, relays, solenoids, interfaces, and supervisory devices.
• →Inspect, test, and commission fire detection, alarm, water mist, suppression, and galley hood systems, including point-to-point and cause-and-effect checks.
• →Complete electrical modifications and equipment replacements using approved marine practices for cable segregation, circuit identification, and enclosure integrity.
• →Follow lockout/tagout, Job Safety Analysis, and PPE requirements at all times.
• →Accurately document test results, deficiencies, repairs, materials, and completed work for customers and regulatory authorities.
• →Coordinate professionally with vessel crews, shipyards, inspectors, and project leads while providing excellent customer service.
• →Support related mechanical fire-protection work, complete required training, travel as assigned, and perform other duties as needed.

• High school diploma or GED required; electrical trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent military/industrial training preferred.
• One to five years of marine, industrial, commercial, or low-voltage electrical experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of AC/DC theory, grounding, circuit protection, relays, controls, batteries, and power supplies.
• Ability to use electrical test instruments; diagnose opens, shorts, grounds, voltage loss, and component failures; and read schematics, cable schedules, OEM manuals, and specifications.
• Experience installing cable, conduit, fittings, terminations, connectors, panels, and electronic devices in marine or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with fire detection and suppression controls, NFPA 10, NFPA 17, applicable CFR requirements, SOLAS, USCG, and class-society standards preferred.
• Strong workmanship, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with working knowledge of trade hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to obtain clearance for government work sites.
• Ability to work overtime and irregular hours on short notice and travel CONUS and OCONUS, including internationally.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10, VSRA, DOT, NFPA 10, and manufacturer certifications; eagerness to continue learning.

• Regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and handle tools and equipment; lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods in shipboard, industrial, commercial, and outdoor environments where noise, dust, heat, low light, heights, and other job-site conditions may be present.
• Work safely at heights and in confined spaces using fall protection and other required safety equipment.
• Use hand, power, and specialty tools for cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening, and related tasks involving torque, vibration, and noise.
