Controls Engineer II

• Design, implement, and document controls systems for various types of automated equipment

• Troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices and peripheral equipment. 

• Perform machine power up, debug and programming. 

• Ensure equipment is designed and programmed to specifications using standard techniques and approach.

  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, OR an Associate's Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Prior experience with JR Automation or within the automation industry is strongly preferred.

• →

  Experience working with one or more of the following: PLCs, HMIs, robotics, mechatronics, motion control systems, vision systems, and/or programming.

  Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks is preferred.

  Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.

• →

  Willingness and ability to travel 35–50% to customer sites and other JR Automation locations.
