Diesel Fitter

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical/Diesel Fitter to join our dynamic team in Mackay. In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe disassembly, rebuild and repair of Caterpillar and Komatsu components and associated products.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:

• →The disassembly and rebuild of front and rear wheel groups.
• →Component measure and inspection for its reusability and/or repair.
• →Manual handling.
• →Appropriate housekeeping duties to ensure the work area is always clean and safe.

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

• Mechanical Trade Certificate.
• Experience in the repair of Caterpillar and Komatsu components (preferred, but not essential)
• High Risk Work Licence – Forklift.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Previous experience in Heavy Engineering / Mining Industry.
