Our Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on engineering skills while working alongside experienced maintenance professionals responsible for supporting the next generation of rail vehicles.
Responsibilities
~1 min readAs an Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you'll receive structured training and practical experience to develop your skills in rail maintenance. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will:
- →Support maintenance specialists and team members with a variety of maintenance activities.
- →Learn to use engineering tools safely and effectively.
- →Follow standard operating procedures to maintain modern rolling stock.
- →Develop the ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.
- →Support operational objectives through additional maintenance-related tasks.
- →Participate fully in a formal apprenticeship programme leading to a Level 3 qualification.
- →Attend college and complete coursework to a high standard.
- →Take part in regular training, development and performance reviews.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn, motivated to develop their skills, and interested in pursuing a long-term career in engineering.
You'll ideally have:
- A genuine enthusiasm for working in a maintenance environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A professional and responsible approach to work.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- An understanding of the importance of health and safety within a working environment.
- A motivated, dependable and detail-oriented mindset with a desire to build a career within engineering.
Requirements
~1 min read- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
