As a Transformer Test Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in validating innovative designs across industry-leading standards including UL, IEEE, IEC, Nuclear 1E, and IBC. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

  • Perform transformer testing to multiple industry standards in a production environment.
  • Follow safety and quality procedures while maintaining high housekeeping standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings to wind, assemble, wire, and fabricate components.
  • Support other production areas as needed, following supervisor instructions.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet established deadlines.
  • Document test plans, results, and protocols with accuracy and clarity.
  • Host and support customers, auditors, and certification personnel during witnessed testing.
  • Demonstrate Hitachi Energy’s values of safety, integrity, and teamwork.
  • AS degree or technical certificate (minimum 2-year electrical education).
  • Prior work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Experience with instrumentation and measurement systems.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and process technical information from multiple sources.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines; flexible with shifts, overtime, and weekends.
