Technician C

Repairs and maintains all types of rental equipment by performing the following duties.

• →Greets, assists and directs customers in yard area.
• →Clean equipment when necessary on rental returns and rental check-outs.
• →Performs light maintenance on equipment.
• →Performs PM maintenance and other required services as required.
• →Requires working knowledge of ignition system, lights, and instrument panels.
• →Repairs and adjusts headlights, installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors and windshield wipers.
• →Back-up for yard personnel as needed.
• →Writes service reports.
• →Orders parts when necessary.
• →Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write service reports.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

High school or GED and/or two years of equipment experience are required. 

Must have a valid driver license class C or higher and a clean D.M.V. report.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.  The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
