FP Movement Summer 2027 Apparel Design Intern

FP Movement is looking for Apparel Design Interns across categories to join us for the Summer. As an Apparel Design Intern, you’ll assist in the design and development of seasonal collections, from concept to final sample. You’ll contribute to trend research, sketching, fabric sourcing, and presentation building, gaining hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of fashion design.

The URBN 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/7 through 8/13 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.

FP Movement Apparel Design is seeking creative, curious, and passionate design students to join our Summer 2027 Design Internship Program. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic, collaborative creative environment while contributing to the design and development of products across our portfolio of distinctive lifestyle brands.

Interns will work alongside experienced designers and cross-functional partners, gaining exposure to the creative process from concept through execution. Depending on their area of focus, interns may have the opportunity to contribute to research and trend development, concepting, design development, technical execution, presentations, and other aspects of the product creation process.

We are hiring Summer 2027 Design Interns across a variety of disciplines, including:

• Performance Studio
• Concept Design

This program is designed for students who are eager to learn, bring a strong creative point of view, collaborate with others, and contribute to an evolving brand and design landscape. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong creative thinking, attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in the brand and design industry.

• →Assist in creating mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal concept presentations. 

• →Support the design team with sketching, CADs, and technical packages. 

• →Help source fabrics, trims, and inspiration materials for upcoming collections. 

• →Organize and maintain sample libraries, swatch books, and design archives. 

• →Participate in fittings, design reviews, and cross-functional meetings with buying and production teams. 

• →Conduct trend and market research to support design direction and innovation. 

• →Assist in preparing line sheets, spec sheets, and internal presentation materials. 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience with CLO 3D or similar software is a plus. 

• Excellent sketching and visual communication skills. 

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail. 

• Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn in a creative, fast-paced environment. 

• Hands-on experience in apparel design and product development. 

• Exposure to seasonal planning, trend forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. 

• Mentorship from experienced designers and creative leaders. 

• A behind-the-scenes look at how a leading lifestyle brand brings fashion collections to life.
