Your role at Hostinger

You'll play a key role in managing and evolving our storage infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include provisioning, scaling, configuring, monitoring, automating, and troubleshooting storage systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You'll collaborate closely with other product and infrastructure teams, contributing to a seamless and robust environment that supports our global services.

Linux Expertise: Advanced experience with Linux operating systems (Debian and Red Hat), with a strong desire to delve deeper into open-source technologies.

Storage Systems Proficiency: Solid understanding and hands-on experience with storage systems, particularly distributed storage solutions(CEPH, GlusterFS, and others).

Design and Optimization: Ability to design, implement, and optimize storage solutions to ensure high availability and efficient data management.

Performance Monitoring: Skilled in monitoring storage system performance, handling capacity planning, and ensuring smooth operation of storage infrastructure.

Interest in Automation: Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible to automate storage management tasks.

Troubleshooting Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities in diagnosing and resolving storage-related issues, ensuring system reliability and data integrity.

Backup and Recovery Knowledge: Familiarity with backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and data replication techniques.

Monitoring and Alerting: Experience with monitoring tools to track storage health and performance metrics.

Commitment to Excellence: Dedicated to meeting Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for storage performance and availability.

Innovation and Improvement: Always seeking new ways to grow, innovate, and enhance existing storage solutions and processes.

Effective Communicator: Good communication skills in Lithuanian and English, both written and spoken.

Provision of CEPH Servers: Set up and configure new CEPH servers to expand storage capacity as needed.

Expand and Scale Storage: Actively manage and scale storage systems to meet growing data demands while ensuring high availability.

Design and Implement Storage Solutions: Develop optimized storage systems for efficient data management.

Monitor and Maintain Infrastructure: Oversee storage performance, conduct capacity planning, and ensure smooth operation of the storage infrastructure.

Automate Storage Tasks: Utilize Ansible to automate storage management processes.

Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Quickly diagnose and address storage-related problems to maintain data integrity and uptime.

Optimize Performance: Continuously monitor and fine-tune storage systems for improved performance and scalability.

Collaborate with Product Teams: Assist product teams in achieving their goals by providing tailored storage solutions and support.

Innovate and Improve: Seek innovative methods to enhance existing tools and workflows within the storage environment.
