Graduate Materials Product Engineer - Polymers
Description -
Join HP Additive Manufacturing Polymers and help shape the future of Industrial Additive Manufacturing (HP AM). As a Materials Product Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance, quality, and scalability of polymer materials used in cutting-edge applications across industries. This is a unique opportunity to bridge R&D, manufacturing, and product engineering in a fast-evolving, innovation-driven environment.
The Materials Product Engineer holds engineering and quality responsibility for released materials in the field. This includes working closely with material suppliers to ensure product quality in line with agreed specifications. The role also supports field investigations and escalations related to material performance and quality. Product Engineers own product specifications, assess proposed changes, and lead qualification activities to ensure overall product quality. They play a key role in both sustaining engineering and new product introduction.
In new product development, Product Engineers collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements, identify potential risk areas, and define monitoring strategies. They also contribute to the definition of product stabilization plans and ongoing quality support.
Additionally, Product Engineers support field escalations, working closely with Customer Assurance and Supply Chain teams to assess issues and propose timely, effective solutions. When working with suppliers, they monitor and track production quality data, analyze trends, and drive corrective actions when needed to ensure consistent product performance.
