→Serve as a trusted advisor by guiding project teams and clients through environmental requirements and providing clear, informed recommendations.
→Follow the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for design projects.
→Follow the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for design projects.
→Coordinate submittal of all required documents.
→Work with multiple groups at HRC to gather the required submittal documents.
→Ensure projects are following these regulations.
→Provides early preliminary environmental review for infrastructure grant applications.
→Conducts reviews of local, state, and federal policies, as needed.

Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment as well as function independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to understand project scope and evaluate potential environmental, social, and economic impacts.
Ability to stay organized and keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines.
Responsive to requests from multiple entities within and outside of HRC.
Dedication to meeting deadlines.
Understanding of transportation related projects and construction.
