Full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week. Normal duty hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with up to a one-hour lunch period. Services will primarily be performed at the Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC), Buildings 220 and 59, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. Occasional support may be required at other M&FRC event locations on Kadena Air Base.

The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Data Entry / Front Desk Clerk will provide administrative, customer service, data-entry, and program support services for the Military & Family Readiness Center at Kadena Air Base.

The position supports service members, family members, and other authorized customers by managing front-desk operations, maintaining accurate program records, scheduling appointments and TAP activities, processing client information, and assisting with Transition Assistance Program requirements. The employee must maintain professionalism, confidentiality, accurate records, and effective communication with customers and Government personnel.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a High School Diploma/GED or higher and at least 1 year of data-entry experience.
  • Must have strong customer service skills and proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Japan and able to meet required background investigation, CAC, and base-access requirements.
  • Provide front-desk customer service, including greeting visitors, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and directing customers to appropriate M&FRC personnel.
  • Perform accurate data entry and records management using AFFIRST, Excel, and other Government-approved systems.
  • Support the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) by tracking separating service members, scheduling counseling and Capstone appointments, and maintaining TAP records and documentation.
