Venue Manager

Langlands Restaurant & Bar is modern in nature but at the same time, rustic in character. Our kitchen provides Victorian sourced produce, married with a beverage list that will be ever changing. Langlands Restaurant's focus is fresh, colourful, sustainable and approachable.

We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead Langlands Restaurant & Bar. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing and increasingly recognised destination in Melbourne’s dining scene.

You will lead, coach, and develop a team of hospitality professionals while driving exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.

As Venue Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the guest experience, fostering a strong team culture, and contributing to the ongoing success of a venue recognised for its quality and consistency. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact and further develop your leadership career within Hyatt.

·         Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations and service delivery

·         Manage rostering, staffing levels, and inventory control

·         Lead, coach, and motivate the team on the floor

·         Drive beverage knowledge within the team, coaching staff to confidently recommend beverages — developing a “junior sommelier” mindset across the floor

·         Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing team development

·         Collaborate closely with culinary, events, and hotel teams to ensure seamless operations

·         Minimum 5 years managerial experience in a premium restaurants or hotel establishments and 10+ years hospitality experience

·         A confident, hands-on leader who enjoys developing and empowering others

·         Passion for food and beverage and guest experience, with strong wine knowledge

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Highly organised with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

·         Solid understanding of restaurant operations, rostering, and business performance

·         Professional, proactive, and confident making decisions under pressure

·         Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
