IIQAF Group is seeking a licensed, knowledgeable, and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, providing medication counseling, ensuring safe and effective pharmaceutical care, collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals, and maintaining compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital pharmacy standards.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience as a Hospital Pharmacist, Clinical Pharmacist, Registered Pharmacist, Staff Pharmacist, Retail Pharmacist, Pharmacy Officer, or Pharmacy Executive who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and medication safety.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and UAE pharmacy regulations.
  • Review prescriptions to verify dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and therapeutic appropriateness.
  • Provide patients with professional counseling on medication usage, dosage instructions, side effects, storage, and adherence.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
  • Monitor medication safety, adverse drug reactions, and pharmacovigilance activities.
  • Prepare and dispense intravenous medications, controlled medications, and specialized pharmaceutical products where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records, medication inventories, controlled drug registers, and dispensing documentation.
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory, stock rotation, expiry monitoring, procurement support, and medication storage.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy policies, DHA/MOHAP regulations, infection control standards, and medication safety protocols.
  • Participate in medication reconciliation, antimicrobial stewardship, and clinical pharmacy initiatives.
  • Supervise pharmacy assistants and pharmacy technicians where assigned.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure proper handling of narcotic and controlled medications.
  • Educate patients and healthcare professionals on medication safety and pharmaceutical best practices.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Stay current with pharmaceutical developments, treatment guidelines, and continuing professional education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
  • Valid UAE Pharmacist License or eligibility for licensing under the relevant UAE health authority (DHA, DOH, or MOHAP) is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Hospital Pharmacist, Clinical Pharmacist, Staff Pharmacist, Registered Pharmacist, Community Pharmacist, Pharmacy Officer, or Pharmacy Executive is preferred.
  • Experience in hospitals, medical centers, specialty clinics, or healthcare facilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, medication management, pharmaceutical calculations, and clinical pharmacy practice.
  • Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and pharmacy management software.
  • Knowledge of controlled medication regulations, pharmacy operations, and medication safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, patient counseling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
