Founded in 1971, Imperial Beach Community Clinic (IBCC) is a fully integrated community based FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Clinic) non-profit with two clinics located in San Diego County, Nestor and Imperial Beach) and with over 100 employees.

Under the supervision of the Clinic Coordinator, performs a variety of tasks related to back-office procedures.

1.Provides direct patient care under established Protocols, Procedures, and Standards by functioning in the following areas:

a. Vital signs

b. Taking medical histories

c. Patient advocacy

d. Patient case management

2. Ensures exam rooms are stocked, clean and prepared.

3. Initiates patient flow manages patient flow concerns.

4. General problem solving.

5. Patient follow-up.

6. Community outreach as assigned.

7. Functions as member of mobile health team as assigned.

8. Other tasks commensurate with level of skill development, HCT, UA, PPD, venipuncture, microscopy, health education, immunizations and therapeutic injections.

9.Responsible for medical chart review as assigned by the Nurse.

Must have reliable transportation. This position will work on both clinic sites. Certified Medical Assistant

Requirements

2-5 Years of experience Preferred

Bilingual Spanish and English Preferred
