Imprint is reimagining co-branded credit cards & financial products to be smarter, more rewarding, and truly brand-first. We partner with companies like Crate & Barrel, Rakuten, Booking.com, H-E-B, Fetch, and Shell to launch modern credit programs that deepen loyalty, unlock savings, and drive growth. Our platform combines advanced payments infrastructure, intelligent underwriting, and seamless UX to help brands offer powerful financial products—without becoming a bank.
Co-branded cards account for over $300 billion in U.S. annual spend—but most are still powered by legacy banks. Imprint is the modern alternative: flexible, tech-forward, and built for today’s consumer. Backed by Kleiner Perkins, Thrive Capital, and Khosla Ventures, we’re building a world-class team to redefine how people pay—and how brands grow. If you want to work fast, solve hard problems, and make a real impact, we’d love to meet you.
Own Imprint's API Platform — the surface partners use to embed our functionality directly into their products. You'll define the strategy, ship the platform, and work hand-in-hand with the businesses building on top of it.
This is a net-new platform. You'll decide what we expose, how we expose it securely under real compliance constraints, and how we evolve it without breaking the partners depending on it. Once partners embed our APIs, every change costs them engineering time — so the foundation has to be right from day one and built to scale to the next ten partners, not just the first.
Team rhythm established. Working cadence with engineering, design, and cross-functional partners is humming.
Platform strategy shipped. A clear, opinionated POV on what we expose, how we govern it for compliance, and how we iterate safely.
Product fluency. You're the in-house expert on what Imprint offers today and what partners want on the menu next.
At least one meaningful SDK/API improvement live in production with a real partner using it.
API documentation visibly sharper in at least one area — measurable by reduced load on solutions engineering.
Outcome-driven and fast-shipping. You frame the problem, drive the discussion, create clarity, and pull the right people together.
Customer-obsessed at two levels. You understand both our partners and their customers — and translate point solutions into platform-level patterns.
Leads with why. You build the strategic case, not just the feature.
Deep systems and platform thinker. Comfortable reasoning end-to-end about how the platform should hang together.
High taste, high curiosity. You see the unlocks partners haven't asked for yet.
Strong opinions, loosely held. You debate honestly. Create constructive dialogue. When needed, disagree and commit.
Strong External Presence. You can run the external conversation as well as the internal one.
Acts like an owner. Converts ambiguity into clarity without waiting to be told.
