This RN Float position offers a Monday–Friday schedule between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, with no weekends or holidays required. The role is potentially hybrid depending on clinic needs and will support all IUHMG Metro Ambulatory locations across both Primary Care and Specialty clinics. As a float nurse, the individual will have no fixed work location; assignments vary based on organizational needs and may be communicated weeks in advance or as late as the morning of the shift, requiring flexibility in work hours and adaptability across diverse clinic settings. Primary responsibilities include assuring smooth patient flow, assisting with examination procedures, collecting patient information, performing general lab work, providing patient education, offering clerical support, and completing triage duties. Ideal candidates will bring triage experience and 2–3 years of clinical experience to excel in this dynamic, patient‑focused role.
What We Offer
~1 min read- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
- Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
