Order Entry

Summary:

To oversee the sale and delivery of products to the customer

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Receives and confirms purchase order from customer.
• Enters purchase order in system.
• Prepares and prints routing sheets and blueprints.
• Arranges delivery of routing sheets to shop scheduler.
• Establishes and maintains contact with customers to ensure a good working relationship.
• Coordinates on time delivery of orders by working with production and shipping.

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.

Education and/or experience:

Minimum High school diploma or general education degree required; college degree preferred. Six-month minimum experience with Microsoft Excel and Word required.

Language skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate efficiently in both written and oral form.

Mathematical skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals required to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference preferred.

Reasoning ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat and reach, grasp, push and pull using arms and legs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics describes here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level and air quality are usually moderate. The employee will encounter hydraulic and other oils as well and various types of metal components. General Hours 1^st shift (8 hours) 8am – 4:30pm (Overtime must be approved by Supervisor)
