#WeAreIn for jobs that impact everyone's life.  What if your ideas could change the way the world connects, powers up, or thinks?  As a Principal Engineer Digital Concept and Design on our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life.  Are you in?  Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Define design requirements and microarchitectures for digital IPs in upcoming Automotive Microcontroller families, with particular focus on mixed-signal IPs and DSP blocks . Design and develop RTL and UPF , leveraging AI for design and concept exploration where applicable. Analyze domain-specific workloads to identify performance and power bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with experienced Architects to assess feasibility, refine concepts, and develop new design ideas . Ensure design quality through required checks and tools, including Synthesis, Lint, CDC, RDC, DFT, and STA . Collaborate closely with designers and Verification Engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables. Mentor and coach junior designers while working effectively within a diverse, geographically dispersed team, using strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills . Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed  You combine deep technical expertise in digital design with strong problem-solving and analytical skills and a passion for innovative semiconductor solutions. You have a pragmatic and enthusiastic approach and enjoy collaborating in international, cross-functional teams to turn advanced DSP concepts into robust, efficient implementations. A University Degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering , with 10+ years of experience in Digital IC design , digital microarchitecture, RTL development, and associated design flows. Strong knowledge of DSP fundamentals , including sampling theory, quantization, FFT, spectral analysis, signal conditioning, noise analysis, aliasing, and signal integrity considerations. Hands-on experience in digital filter design and optimization , including FIR/IIR and low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and notch filters, using fixed- and floating-point implementations with consideration for performance, latency, and power. Experience with mixed-signal systems , including ADCs, DACs, sensor interfaces, and communication signal chains, as well as translating DSP algorithms into embedded software, FPGA, or ASIC implementations. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python (SciPy/NumPy), or equivalent tools to model, simulate, verify, and tune DSP algorithms and signal-processing functions. Experience in RTL and UPF design and EDA tools for Synthesis, Lint, CDC, and STA ; knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog is an advantage.
