Your Role

As a Manufacturing (PP) Lead, you will SAP Manufacturing (PP) lead consultant with Variant Configuration (VC) expertise to support implementation, rollout, and enhancement projects across SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and On-Premises landscapes.

You will serve as the single point of accountability and work with business stakeholders to model complex product configurations and integrate them with manufacturing and sales processes.
The role involves designing configurable product models, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing and sales processes, and aligning solutions with both Fit-to-Standard (Public Cloud) and custom-enhanced (On-Premises) approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP PP-VC solution design and delivery 
• Drive Fit-to-Standard workshops and architecture decisions 
• Mentor functional consultants and coordinate offshore/onshore teams 
• Act as primary client interface for Manufacturing and VC topics 
• Ensure delivery governance, timelines, and quality adherence 
• Design and implement SAP Variant Configuration (VC/AVC) solutions
• Define product modeling strategy including characteristics, classes, and dependencies 
• Lead PP manufacturing process design including BOM, Routing and MRP 
• Drive integration across SD, MM, PP and CO modules 
• Ensure scalable and optimized architecture for configurable products 
• Conduct Fit-to-Standard workshops for Public Cloud
• Support custom enhancements for On-Premises/cloud implementations
• Ensure integration with SD, MM, PP and CO modules
• Support implementation phases including testing, go-live and hyper care
• Coordinate across global teams and offshore/onshore delivery models.

Skills

Must have

• 10–15+ years of SAP PP/MFG experience
• 6+ years of Variant Configuration experience
• Experience as SME/Lead in at least one large SAP program
• Strong expertise in VC/AVC and product modeling
• Experience in S/4HANA Public Cloud and/or On-Premises
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication
• Strong leadership and team mentoring skills
• Ability to drive workshops and solution decisions independently
• Strong governance, financial, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading global, multi‑vendor delivery models
• Experience with Agile/Hybrid delivery frameworks
