Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services, working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. Our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.
The Billing Specialist is responsible for processing client billing and other operations leading to reimbursement for behavioral health care and related services. The position is primarily focused on Medicaid, though may work with Medicare and/or private payers.
The pay range for this position is $23.85 to $28.02 per hour based on experience, education, and/or licensure.

Provide billing services for the organization

Complete billing-related activities including, but not limited to the following:

Claim EDI creations for various payers
-
Self-pay claim processing
-
Payment posting
-
Claim denial investigations and remediation
-
Carelogic Billing / AR configuration and setup
-
Interact with payment/clearinghouse portals
-
Communicating the status of tasks
-
Support organizational delay to resolve common errors

Interact with ISBH staff positively, providing excellent customer service.

Maintain advanced knowledge of:
-
Ohio’s Behavioral Health Payment Environment
-
Carelogic software and Billing / AR functionality
-
Ohio MCO billing requirements
-
ISBH required content
-
Attend internal and external training as needed

Participate in special projects as requested by the Billing Manager

Travel within designated service area

Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer is required

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times is required

A high school degree or GED equivalent is required
-
A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related fields is preferred
-
3 years of experience working with Ohio behavioral health Medicaid billing is required
-
3 years of experience using an electronic health record system to process claims, experience with Carelogic is preferred
-
Advanced communication skills, both oral and written is required
-
Advanced organizational skills are required
-
Ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions is required
-
Ability to maintain confidential information is required
-
Knowledge of Medicaid regulations and compliance requirements is required
-
A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required
-
An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage is required
-
Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced, high-volume environment is required
-
Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment is required
-
Ability to maintain high-speed internet connection is required
