Job Role / Responsibilities 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior GRC Officer to support our Governance, Risk an Compliance team in Brussels. This is a hands-on junior role for someone who wants to build a career in cybersecurity governance, risk management and compliance.

You will work closely with senior consultants and advisors to help organisations strengthen their security posture, align with regulatory and framework requirements, and manage cyber risk effectively.


You will assist with a wide variety of tasks across security risk and assurance, including:

  • Regulatory & Framework Gap Assessments: Contribute to readiness and compliance gap assessments against standards. Frameworks and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, DORA, and NIS2
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Support the creation, review, and enhancement of information security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Risk Assessments: Assist in performing cyber and information security risk assessments across technologies, processes, and business functions.
  • Third-Party Security Reviews: Support the completion of third-party security due diligence and vendor risk assessments.
  • Incident Response Preparedness: Contribute to the development of tabletop exercises and incident response playbooks.
  • Client Engagement Support: Attend client meetings, document key actions, and support consultants with follow-ups and reporting.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Interested in cybersecurity, governance, and risk.
  • Detail-oriented, with good documentation and analytical skills.
  • A strong communicator – both written and verbal.
  • Eager to learn from experienced professionals and take initiative.
  • Professional in approach, with a focus on quality and client service.


Education / Background

The following qualifications and experience will support success in this junior role:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent through relevant professional experience.
  • Educational background in IT, cybersecurity, business administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in roles such as Quality Officer, Quality Specialist, Legal Officer, IT Specialist, Risk Officer, or a related position is an advantage.
  • Ideally two to five years of experience in a professional environment; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, Cyber Fundamentals (CyFun), NIS2, risk management, gap assessments, and related domains is a plus. Training in these areas will be provided internally.

  • Process-oriented, with a risk-based mindset.
  • Eager to learn and grow.
  • Accurate, reliable, and well organised.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft 365 and able to use AI responsibly to improve efficiency.


Languages 

  • Professional proficiency in English and either Dutch or French.
  • French or additional languages are considered an asset.


Other

  • Comfortable working in both on-site and hybrid environments.
  • Holds a valid Category B driving licence.
  • Willing to pursue certifications and professional development opportunities supported by the company.
