Housing Stabilization Coach

As a Housing Stabilization Coach in Sioux Falls, SD, you’ll help individuals and families who are homeless, near-homeless, or low-income move toward steady housing and self-sufficiency—fast, focused, and with heart.

Key responsibilities include:
- Provide housing stabilization coaching and case management support
- Meet with applicants facing challenges such as finances, employment, food, clothing, housing, and physical/mental impairments to understand needs and barriers
- Help participants follow lease requirements and build the skills to maintain housing
- Connect clients to community resources and partner organizations

Required qualifications/skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or Social Work preferred
- Two (2) years of experience and/or training in human services/social work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Your day as a Housing Stabilization Coach is a high-energy mix of connection and progress: you’ll sit down one-on-one, meet with families, or work in small groups to talk through plans for meeting immediate needs and long-term goals. You’ll help clients tap into their own strengths, then map out environmental supports that can lift daily functioning. Expect to spend time helping families locate and evaluate programs that fit, and making warm handoffs to community resources and other organizations—so each step forward feels real, measurable, and motivating.
