Job Description

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Biology lessons aligned with the academic curriculum and institutional standards.
• Design engaging learning experiences that encourage scientific inquiry, analysis, and critical thinking.
• Teach topics related to living organisms, ecosystems, genetics, health, environmental science, and biological processes.
• Incorporate practical activities, experiments, and laboratory work when appropriate.
• Differentiate instruction according to students’ learning needs and abilities.

• Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, progress, and learning evidence according to school policies.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student achievement.
• Identify students requiring additional academic support and collaborate on intervention strategies.

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and organized classroom environment.
• Encourage active participation, collaboration, and academic responsibility.
• Supervise the appropriate use of laboratory materials, equipment, and resources.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures during experiments and practical activities.

• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and classroom resources.
• Maintain updated records including attendance, assessments, reports, and academic documentation.
• Meet deadlines and comply with administrative and academic procedures.

• Maintain effective and professional communication with parents, teachers, and school leadership.
• Participate in meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and institutional initiatives.

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school behavior policies.
• Report concerns or risks in accordance with institutional safeguarding procedures.

• Strong knowledge of Biology and life sciences.
• Ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and effectively.
• Classroom management and positive discipline skills.
• Analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Responsible management of laboratory materials and scientific equipment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Natural Sciences, Science Education, or related field.
• Teaching qualification or certification (desirable).
• Knowledge of middle school academic programs and standards.
• Professional teaching license or credentials as required by local regulations.

• Previous experience teaching Biology or Science at the middle school level.
• Experience in lesson planning and academic assessment.
• Experience managing laboratory activities and safety procedures (desirable).
• Experience working with adolescents.
• Experience in educational environments subject to inspections or compliance standards (desirable).
