Our mission:

1. Mitigate Harmful Impacts: Reduce the harmful impacts on children and young people whose parents are in prison
2. Foster Growth and Potential: Empower children and young people with a parent in prison to thrive and achieve their full potential unhindered by stigma.
3. Strengthen Family Bonds: Collaborate with families, schools and prisons to improve family relationships during and after a parent's custody.
4. Improve Visiting Experiences: Ensure prison visiting experiences are positive and engaging for all involved.
5. Diversity, Equity, Equality and Inclusion: We are committed to ensuring inclusive and equitable access across all our services and employment opportunities.  IWCIC strives to be an organisation that champions diversity within its operating culture and through its social value impact.
6. Reduce Reoffending: Contribute to lower reoffending rates through constructive family engagement.
