Tutoring for the Introduction to Music Studies class (MUTH 11100) an average of 2 hours per week in the fall semester.

1 hour per day Monday/Wednesday or 1 hour per day Tuesday/Thursday for each week in the Fall 2026 semester.

Requirements

  • Outstanding academic achievement as evidenced by GPA 
  • Outstanding achievement in aural skills and music theory courses, with grades of A or A- in each course taken 
  • Formal or informal experience teaching/tutoring music theory suggested
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to work during posted hours 
  • Required strong experience with music technology, including facility with Canvas, Microsoft 365, Audacity, Spotify, and MuseScore 
  • Personal qualities conducive to one-on-one conferences, such as a friendly, approachable manner; patience; good listening abilities; and a sense of maturity and responsibility
