IVX Health is seeking a Patient Account Specialist to support our billing and revenue operations with a strong focus on patient satisfaction. This full-time role can be performed remotely or in a hybrid model, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule during standard business hours.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Serve as a key point of contact for patients regarding billing questions, payment plans, and account resolution
- →Respond to inbound calls and proactively reach out to patients to collect past-due balances and arrange payments
- →Review and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to patients in a clear and supportive manner.
- →Run monthly patient statements and work closely with front office, insurance follow-up, and prior authorization teams to ensure smooth reimbursement workflows.
- →Identify and assist patients with copay assistance programs, grants, and financial support resources.
- →Maintain accurate, timely records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and Medicare guidelines.
- →Support overall department goals by collaborating with internal teams to enhance the patient financial experience.
- 2–3 years of clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare setting (strongly preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong understanding of coinsurance, deductibles, and copays
- Familiarity with payer portals such as NaviNet, Availity, and EOBs
- Experience working within HIPAA, Medicare, and insurance compliance frameworks
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office
- Excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a positive, proactive mindset
Pay is based on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and is benchmarked against similar organizations in our size and industry. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the posted range, as compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular employees are eligible for 401(k), health benefits, and other company-provided benefits.
