Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Active CPA license (Virginia or ability to obtain reciprocity)
5–8+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably in public accounting
Strong expertise in federal and Virginia state tax regulations, including multistate taxation
Experience with pass-through entity taxation and Virginia-specific considerations (e.g., composite returns, PTET elections)
Extensive experience reviewing complex returns across multiple entity types
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
Strong client service and communication skills
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Preferred:
Experience with Virginia Department of Taxation audits and compliance
Proven experience managing client relationships and leading engagements
Experience with complex tax planning and consulting projects
Proficiency with Lacerte and tax research platforms such as CCH or BNA
