As a member of the team you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:

Requirements:

• Safely operate electric ride-on pallet jacks and Counter Balance/Standard Forklifts to transport bulk pallets of boxed.
• Efficiently drive pallet jacks into and out of reefer trailers to load outgoing shipments and unload incoming stock.
• Wrap finished pallets securely with shrink wrap and apply proper labeling
• Use RF scanners to scan pallet barcodes and update the Warehouse Management System
• Ensure meat products are moved swiftly out of ambient temperatures and into temperature-controlled zones (34°F to 0°F) to maintain food safety.
• Perform daily pre-trip equipment inspections (brakes, battery, steering) and maintain a clean, food-safe dock area

An ideal candidate will possess the following:

• High school Diploma or GED will be considered an asset.
• 1+ Years’ experience operating electric ride-on pallet jacks or electric pallet jacks in a high-volume warehouse setting, will be considered an asset
• Ability to work a full shift inside refrigerated docks (34°F to 38°F) and freezer environments (0°F or below).
• Ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs occasionally if boxes need to be re-stacked or adjusted on a pallet; ability to stand/ride for long periods.
• Ability to meet hourly pallet-movement quotas while maintaining sharp attention to detail regarding product labels and inventory accuracy.
• Familiarity with basic food facility sanitation and avoiding packaging damage to protect meat products
