Family Assistant - Part-time – Rancho Santa Fe, CA

A warm and welcoming family in Rancho Santa Fe is seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Family Assistant to help maintain a clean, well-run home while providing occasional support around two young children.

This is primarily a housekeeping-focused position with some family assistant responsibilities mixed in. The ideal candidate enjoys creating order, takes pride in maintaining a tidy home, and is comfortable stepping in to help with children when needed.

The family currently has one child who is 2 years and 8 months old and is expecting a newborn in August. While childcare is not the primary focus of the role, the candidate should genuinely enjoy being around children and be comfortable interacting with them throughout the day.

• Approximately 24 hours per week

• Preferred schedule:

  • Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Family is flexible regarding workdays for the right candidate

• Daily kitchen maintenance and dishwashing

• Cleaning bathrooms and common living areas

• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and floor care

• Making beds and maintaining organized bedrooms

• General tidying and household organization

• Laundry, folding, and household linens

• Maintaining a clean, welcoming environment throughout the home

• Grocery shopping and household errands

• Receiving deliveries and managing household supplies

• Light meal preparation, including washing, chopping, and basic food prep

• Supporting overall household flow and organization

• Assisting with miscellaneous household projects as needed

• Supervise or engage with children when parents are occupied

• Provide occasional assistance while a parent prepares meals, gets ready for appointments, or attends to other responsibilities

• Offer a warm and positive presence around both the toddler and newborn when assistance is needed

• Prior experience in housekeeping, family assistant, nanny, or household support roles preferred

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Comfortable balancing household responsibilities with occasional childcare support

• Reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated

• Able to work independently and identify tasks that need attention

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

• Comfortable running errands and grocery shopping

• Must pass an advanced third-party background check (paid by client)
