As a Senior Product Manager, collaborate closely with senior leaders to shape a dynamic product strategy that drives ads, business, and product objectives. This role will want you to define the Ads Experience for JHS users, keeping a high bar on user engagement and managing business expectations. This role will involve working with business, tech, analytics stakeholders, and managing upward communication with leadership. Ads Experience is at the heart of user experience - this role will be critical in driving a delightful user experience along with opening up incremental supply for business.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
JioHotstar’s Ad Platform is among the top Video Advertising Platforms in India and our aspiration is to make it the largest Video Advertising Platform because no one knows Video-On-Demand, Live Sports and Ads like our Ad Tech team does. The AdTech team builds out innovative Ad formats and generates supply, sources demand through various channels including managed, programmatic, self-serve etc, serves targeted ads at large scale during live events and on on demand videos, drives measurement solutions and outcomes for advertisers. The pace of our growth is incredible and we’re building our entire ads platform in-house.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to generate actionable insights and determine ROI
Translate abstract problem statements into clear requirements by assessing market trends and shifts
Influence roadmaps within and outside the functional area to enhance the overall ecosystem
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing to roadmaps and prioritization beyond the immediate domain
Show agility in responding to external signals, enabling swift roadmap adjustments, and ensuring transparent communication of impacts
Take ownership of at least one key KPI that directly aligns with Product Objectives and Key Results
Develop deep expertise in at least one functional area, driving strategic advancements through innovation and transformation
Actively participate in team-building initiatives, including contributing to hiring processes
Communicate clearly and effectively, with precise articulation and logical progression of ideas
Apply structured frameworks and logical thinking to address complex problems, asking the right questions for deeper understanding
Demonstrate a diverse range of ideas and prioritize effectively, focusing on the end outcomes
Leverage a data-driven mindset to derive insights from metrics and make well-informed product decisions
Show strong user empathy, using structured problem-solving to address pain points through hypothesis-building and solution development
Benchmark competitors and validate findings through experimentation, maintaining high standards for product roadmap inclusion
Confidently tackle ambiguous problems with minimal supervision, taking decisive action across the organization
Foster a collaborative, respectful work environment, open to feedback, while mentoring junior PMs to success and effectively influencing without formal authority
