You will play a critical role in developing code, and solve problems independently while shaping our next-gen solutions that drive our company's mission forward. We seek candidates with a passion for crafting elegant code and building innovative software solutions.

About the team: JioHotstar's world-record-breaking OTT platform is available in India, the international market. We are home to India's largest entertainment content catalog for the Indian diaspora in the UK. We are hiring senior engineers for our UK and international teams to develop systems that drive business growth in the country. This is a unique opportunity to work across the JioHotstar tech stack and work on the most impactful projects. You will contribute to the common stack, build frameworks to offer geography-specific differentiated features and create subscriber and business growth platform for the company.

Design and build applications to deliver a high performance system and highly engaging UI

You will work with the engineering team to optimize applications for performance and scalability across Mobile, Web and Living Room devices

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

Serves as the functional lead, possess deep knowledge of core systems and takes full responsibility for the team's code, design, and project delivery, ensuring high quality and on-time completion

Build the next-generation user experience and the platforms required to enable intuitive content discovery for our customers

Work with the engineering team to optimize applications for performance and scalability across various platforms, Mobile, Web, and Living Room devices

Provide mentorship and guidance to other developers

Strong experience in Javascript language, especially React

Deep knowledge about how browsers work

Deep understanding about design & architecture patterns

Highly enthusiastic and enjoy learning new technologies and frameworks

You know why a framework is necessary and know any of React, AngularJS etc

Open source contribution is good to have

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git

Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt or Gulp

Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or a related field with 7-10 years of professional experience as a frontend developer with hands-on experience on Javascript.
