Johnson & Johnson Global Services (GS) Finance is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) to support the Global Services delivery model for J&J Holding Co and Product Liability. This position is based in Bogota, Colombia.

The SFA is responsible for Controllership services for Talc, Product Liability and other Holding Co. activities supporting 1 VP. The role is highly visible as the SFA is the lead authority on the actuals, responsible for the full accounting of transactions, cash management, vendor communications and financial business reviews. 

 

 

Responsibilities

·       Legal vendor and cash management — Own communications with ~50 legal vendors covering payment requests, accrual estimates, and tax information; execute disbursements and assess funding requests, including special and ad hoc processes.

·       Financial consolidation and reporting — Maintain the monthly manual accounting tracking file to support the consolidate financials for business unit finance and Consolidations approval, coordinating Treasury and Tax confirmations.

·       Reconciliations and journal entries — Prepare ~60 quarterly balance sheet reconciliations plus ~25 monthly entries, post monthly ledger and equity clearing entries, and handle intercompany approvals with Legal HQ.

·       Charge-out processing for Product Liability — Calculate and process spillover, specific product, and Talc charge-outs and related accruals, confirming intercompany owners and accounting strings across ~16 relationships.

·       Audit, tax, and transformation support — Support internal and external audit, tax hand-offs and submissions, corporate deliverables, hedging, the annual dividend process, year-end tax filings.  Support, influence, and execute SigniFi and any other Technological Transformation initiatives, managing change and shaping processes

Requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably a major in Accounting.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as MBA, CPA or CMA etc. is preferred.
  • A minimum 3 years of finance or related business experience is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). SAP, CFIN and AFO are preferred.
  • The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.
  • The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle several tasks simultaneously.

 

This position is based in Bogota, Colombia and may require up to 10% travel.
