Building Engineer

• →Perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and scheduled repairs on building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
• →Complete inspection checklists and communicate maintenance concerns, repair needs, and follow-up items to the Chief Building Engineer and Facility Manager.
• →Respond to tenant service requests and provide professional, customer-focused support to tenants, vendors, and team members.
• →Maintain the appearance and operational standards of the property in alignment with JLL expectations.
• →Assist with general interior maintenance including lighting replacement, office furniture repairs, hanging fixtures, door repairs, and workspace moves.
• →Partner with contracted vendors to monitor service quality and support the review of service specifications and scopes of work.
• →Maintain safe work practices by following safety procedures, identifying hazards, completing hazard assessments, and maintaining clean work areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or building engineering.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, construction drawings, diagrams, and work orders.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to maintenance and operational priorities.

• Technical certification or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related field.
• Experience supporting commercial office or mixed-use properties.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and work order management systems.
• Basic understanding of contracted vendor management and service coordination.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and OSHA-related practices.
• Experience assisting with operating or capital budget-related maintenance activities.
• Ability to support minor carpentry, furniture systems, and interior repair tasks.
