Job Summary: The Alumni Scholarship and Stewardship Coordinator administers the National Alumni Association's (NAA) annual and endowed scholarship programs, overseeing the full scholarship lifecycle from fund administration and applicant review through award selection, distribution, stewardship, and reporting. Ensures scholarship programs are administered in accordance with donor intent, Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs), University policies, and available funding. Collaborates with Alumni chapter leaders, scholarship committees, donors, and University partners to facilitate scholarship selection, provide guidance on scholarship processes, and ensure the accurate administration of scholarship funds. Leads donor stewardship efforts by establishing and executing stewardship guidelines and plans for NAA endowments and gift funds.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of scholarship, stewardship, or financial aid experience; OR master's degree or higher and some scholarship, stewardship, or financial aid experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong time management, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with various groups of people. Strong computer skills and knowledge, including basic desktop computing skills. General knowledge of Banner, On-Base, ARGOS, and ASAM (Alabama Scholarship Awarding Manager). General financial accounting skills. Ability to review and analyze basic financial reports along with institutional services such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in scholarship awarding.
