Clinical Support Nurse

The Clinical Support Nurse will provide essential clinical and administrative support to a remote healthcare team during weekends, holidays, and periods of increased patient volume.
You will help ensure laboratory results, pharmacy communications, referrals, and patient follow-ups are handled accurately and efficiently.
The role combines strong clinical judgment with organized documentation, care coordination, and communication across a multidisciplinary team.
You will work closely with physicians, Physician Assistants, Clinical Associates, Patient Care Coordinators, and referral staff to maintain continuity of care.
This position offers flexible scheduling in a fully remote environment, with opportunities to contribute across evening, daytime, weekend, and holiday coverage.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, adapting quickly to changing priorities, and using digital healthcare and collaboration tools.

• Current nursing licensure in a Canadian province or territory; active licensure in Ontario, Alberta, or British Columbia is an advantage.
• Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) qualification preferred.
• More than 3 years of experience working in clinical environments.
• Strong clinical knowledge, medical terminology knowledge, and clinical judgment.
• Understanding of confidentiality and the appropriate handling of protected health information in accordance with applicable HIPAA, PHIPA, and PIPEDA requirements.
• High level of professionalism, particularly in confidentiality, documentation, organization, and patient communication.
• Awareness of multiple medical specialties and the ability to work effectively across different clinical contexts.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• French or Spanish bilingual capabilities are considered an asset but are not required.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and operate independently as well as collaboratively.
• Strong computer literacy, including experience with tools such as Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Adobe, and EMR-related software.
• HIPAA compliance certification and a Medical Terminology Certificate are desirable.
