You will lead the Project Management function for a technology organization operating at the intersection of renewable energy, critical infrastructure, and electric power markets.
The role carries broad responsibility for project performance, profitability, resource utilization, quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
You will provide strategic leadership to Project Managers overseeing high-value, technically complex projects from development through delivery.
Your work will help strengthen project management practices, streamline processes, and introduce automation that supports organizational growth.
You will collaborate closely with Finance, Business Development, technical teams, and executive leadership to align projects with broader business objectives.
The position requires the ability to guide complex technical discussions while communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will play a key role in shaping scalable project delivery practices within a growing renewable energy and grid infrastructure environment.

Lead and manage the Project Management Department, providing direction, coaching, and oversight to Project Managers responsible for major projects.
Establish and continuously improve project management practices, processes, procedures, and standards in alignment with organizational strategy and growth objectives.
Direct, control, and adjust project management activities to improve sales performance, profitability, efficiency, resource utilization, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
Lead the identification, evaluation, and procurement of products and resources required to deliver projects successfully.
Partner with Finance to develop and manage project budgets, milestones, compliance requirements, and financial performance.
Provide leadership and oversight for changes to contract terms, ensuring project and commercial impacts are properly assessed and managed.
Oversee the definition of project scope, requirements, and customer needs, helping teams develop and present effective solutions.
Partner with Business Development on proposal development, solution definition, and client presentations.
Drive automation, process optimization, and operational improvements across existing and new project management workflows.
Provide strategic advice and recommendations to executive leadership to support broader organizational growth and expansion.
Lead and support Project Managers working with significant decision-making authority on high-value and technically complex projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, combined with 15+ years of experience across management and project management, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies, practices, processes, and operational leadership.
PMP certification is highly preferred.
SCRUM Master or other Agile Project Management certification is preferred.
Deep understanding of electric utility-scale interconnection, including renewable PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Strong knowledge of construction, SCADA, software implementation, and complex technical project delivery.
Proven experience leading teams and Project Managers responsible for large, high-value projects.
Ability to facilitate and lead technical discussions while translating complex concepts into clear, accessible communication for non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong collaboration, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
High proficiency with MS Project, Azure DevOps (ADO), or other project management tools.
Strong strategic thinking, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Must reside in the United States; this position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

✓$190,000–$220,000 annual salary range, with compensation based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, job level, and market conditions.
