The Grid Strategy & Operations Leader will shape the global strategy and commercial direction of grid integration technologies across a wind turbine portfolio, helping ensure solutions meet evolving customer needs, regulatory requirements, and energy market demands. In this senior leadership role, you will guide a team of Product and Program Managers while connecting engineering innovation with commercial priorities and customer expectations. You will own the multi-generation technology roadmap, prioritize product features, and lead the commercialization of advanced grid integration capabilities. Working closely with engineering, commercial teams, utilities, grid operators, and regulators, you will translate complex technical requirements into clear strategic priorities and compelling customer value propositions. You will also oversee program execution, software development milestones, and testing schedules to ensure alignment with product releases and customer commitments. This opportunity is suited to a strategic, technically informed leader passionate about renewable energy, cross-functional collaboration, and advancing reliable, competitive power systems.

  • Lead, develop, and support a team of Product and Program Managers responsible for new product introduction (NPI), commercial milestones, and roadmaps covering grid integration, power plant controls, and converter software.

  • Define and drive the global grid integration strategy by analyzing customer needs, electricity market trends, grid operator requirements, and regulatory developments.

  • Own the multi-generation technology roadmap, establishing feature priorities and development sequences in partnership with engineering leadership.

  • Act as the primary interface between commercial and engineering teams, balancing competing feature requests against regional market needs, technical feasibility, customer expectations, and business priorities.

  • Represent technical capabilities in customer and regulator engagements, serving as a trusted advocate for grid integration solutions and bringing the voice of the customer into internal engineering decisions.

  • Lead external stakeholder engagement, which may account for approximately 30–50% of the role, including interactions with utilities, grid operators, customers, and regulators.

  • Develop and maintain commercialization strategies, value propositions, and sales support materials that clearly communicate the benefits of complex grid integration technologies.

  • Provide programmatic leadership for grid integration software development and testing, managing schedules, execution, pacing, and critical delivery milestones.

  • Partner with engineering leadership to balance emerging technologies, including grid-forming converters and hybrid storage solutions, with the requirements of specific turbine models and target markets.

  • Ensure grid integration activities remain aligned with product release plans, commercial commitments, project schedules, and customer delivery requirements.

  • Build consensus across a complex, matrixed organization, aligning technical and commercial stakeholders around shared strategic objectives.

  • Use market intelligence, quantitative analysis, and customer feedback to guide investment decisions, resolve competing priorities, and maintain a competitive technology portfolio.
