Inside Sales Account Manager

This is a fully remote commercial role focused on driving growth across Spanish-speaking Latin America and applicable Caribbean markets.
You’ll combine scientific knowledge with sales and relationship-building skills to help research and life sciences customers identify relevant sequencing solutions.
The role covers the full commercial journey, from prospecting and opportunity qualification through close, adoption, and account expansion.
You’ll work closely with customers, distributors, channel partners, field sales, marketing, and technical specialists across a highly collaborative environment.
Success will require strong scientific fluency, commercial curiosity, disciplined pipeline management, and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence the adoption of innovative sequencing technology while building a diverse regional customer network.

Develop and convert new business opportunities by managing inbound leads, conducting proactive outbound prospecting, understanding customer needs, and guiding opportunities through the sales cycle.

Grow existing accounts by developing relationships with new users, identifying additional applications, and uncovering upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

Work closely with distributors and channel partners to qualify opportunities, support customer engagement, execute commercial activities, and contribute to partner education and enablement.

Support customer education by providing relevant product information, technical resources, and application guidance that connect sequencing capabilities with customer research needs.

Execute targeted commercial campaigns in collaboration with Marketing and other commercial teams, including email and calling campaigns, webinars, product initiatives, and account-based engagement.

Maintain accurate CRM records, manage pipeline progression, document customer activity, provide reliable forecasts, and capture relevant competitive and market intelligence.

Partner with field sales colleagues by researching accounts, preparing customer meetings, coordinating follow-up, supporting quotes and trials, and helping advance active opportunities.

Build trusted, long-term customer relationships and provide a consistent experience from initial engagement through adoption and continued product use.

Collaborate with Field Applications Scientists, Technical Support, Account Executives, Marketing, channel partners, and other teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.

Professional fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate scientific and technical concepts effectively.

Commercial, inside sales, account management, or customer-facing experience within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, clinical research, genomics, research, or another life sciences environment.

Strong working knowledge of DNA sequencing technologies and their applications.

Ability to understand scientific customer requirements and translate them into relevant commercial opportunities.

Confidence with proactive outbound prospecting as well as inbound opportunity management.

Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools, with strong discipline around pipeline and activity management.

Excellent relationship-building, communication, influencing, organizational, and time-management skills.

Ability to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining consistent follow-through.

Collaborative, proactive, and commercially minded approach, with sound judgment and comfort working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory when required.

Advanced scientific qualifications such as a PhD are advantageous.

Experience in NGS, genomics, sequencing, molecular biology, Latin American markets, distributor/channel environments, or global commercial teams is a plus.

Familiarity with complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments across academia, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, clinical research, or government laboratories is beneficial.
