This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on elevating proposal strategy, content quality, and infrastructure across a complex healthcare-focused organization. You will shape how proposal content is created, managed, governed, and leveraged to support high-value commercial pursuits. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in priority proposals, requiring strong judgment and exceptional writing and editorial expertise. You will build scalable content systems, standards, and processes that give sales teams fast access to accurate and compelling materials. Working across proposals, sales, clinical, and marketing teams, you will align narratives with commercial priorities and customer needs. You will also mentor proposal professionals and help establish a high-performing, consistent approach to proposal development. This is an ideal role for an experienced proposal strategist who thrives at the intersection of healthcare, sales enablement, content, and business growth.

Partner with proposals leadership to shape the function's strategy, including intake prioritization, quality standards, operating practices, and content governance.

Own the architecture, roadmap, and continuous improvement of a scalable proposal content management system and associated technology infrastructure.

Develop content strategies, response frameworks, and compelling narratives for strategically important proposals and high-priority pursuits.

Work directly with pursuit leads to strengthen proposal messaging, response quality, positioning, and overall competitiveness.

Establish and maintain enterprise-wide proposal standards, style guides, review processes, and quality assurance practices.

Build content libraries and knowledge-management practices that enable sales teams to quickly access accurate, relevant, and persuasive response materials.

Partner with sales, clinical, marketing, and other functional leaders to ensure proposal content reflects commercial strategy, customer priorities, and differentiated value.

Identify opportunities to improve proposal processes, content effectiveness, and response infrastructure through data, technology, and continuous improvement.

Serve as a subject-matter expert on proposal content strategy, writing, editorial quality, and content management.

Mentor proposals professionals in content strategy, writing techniques, proposal development, and effective use of content libraries.

Exercise independent judgment when addressing complex, cross-functional proposal challenges and help influence broader functional strategy.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, with 10+ years of experience in proposal management, proposal strategy, or sales support strategy.

Significant experience within healthcare, managed care, health technology, or a closely related industry.

Demonstrated success building and scaling proposal content strategies, content libraries, knowledge-management systems, or related infrastructure.

Proven ability to improve proposal response quality and contribute to stronger commercial outcomes and win rates.

Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and communication skills, with the ability to develop and evaluate executive-level proposal narratives.

Deep understanding of healthcare procurement processes, RFP structures, competitive proposals, and payer buying dynamics.

Experience working with proposal management platforms and content-management technologies at scale.

Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into practical proposal strategies and operating frameworks.

Ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across sales, clinical, marketing, and proposals functions.

Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a deadline-driven environment.

Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, contributing directly to complex and high-value proposals when required.

Experience mentoring and developing proposal professionals and establishing consistent quality standards across a team.

MBA or another advanced degree is preferred.
