As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing software quality practices and ensuring reliable, user-focused digital healthcare solutions.
You will combine hands-on manual testing with modern quality engineering techniques to identify risks early, prevent defects, and improve release confidence.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Operations, and Support teams, you will help integrate quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
You will validate critical healthcare workflows across web applications, mobile platforms, APIs, and system integrations to ensure solutions meet both technical requirements and real-world needs.
You will also contribute to test automation, accessibility validation, regression strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a technically minded, detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex problems and advocating for end users.
Your work will directly support dependable healthcare technology, smoother operational workflows, and better experiences for patients, providers, and care teams.
Software testing and validation: Design, document, execute, and maintain manual, exploratory, regression, integration, end-to-end, smoke, and risk-based test cases across web applications, mobile platforms, APIs, and backend services.
Develop and maintain structured testing strategies that support sprint delivery, comprehensive test coverage, release readiness, and ongoing production quality.
Quality engineering and automation: Contribute to the evolution of scalable quality engineering practices by introducing repeatable testing approaches and automation where appropriate.
Identify opportunities to reduce repetitive manual testing, strengthen regression coverage, improve documentation, and streamline quality processes across engineering teams.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Operations, Clinical stakeholders, and Support teams to clarify requirements, assess testability, identify risks, investigate defects, and validate fixes.
Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, raising concerns early and helping teams make informed decisions about product quality and deployment readiness.
Healthcare workflow validation: Test essential digital healthcare processes, including patient registration, insurance information capture, payment processing, electronic medical record (EMR) integrations, messaging, and operational tools.
Evaluate application functionality against real-world workflows and user expectations, identifying gaps between written acceptance criteria and practical business needs.
Build a strong understanding of product behavior, data flows, integrations, and operational dependencies to identify edge cases and potential downstream impacts.
Technical and accessibility testing: Perform API validation, cross-browser testing, accessibility and ADA-informed testing, integration testing, and end-to-end workflow validation using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Apply test management practices, test data analysis, logs, repeatable checks, and pipeline quality gates to improve coverage, traceability, and confidence in software releases.
Release readiness and continuous improvement: Support production readiness through critical workflow validation, defect resolution verification, risk communication, and go/no-go recommendations.
Contribute to defect trend analysis, root cause investigations, quality metrics, test coverage reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor quality risks and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders to support timely and effective resolutions.
Support and operational quality: Manage support tickets by investigating reported issues and providing clear, practical assistance to end users.
Participate in on-call and occasional off-hours coverage when needed to support releases, production validation, and critical quality requirements.
Promote a culture of shared quality ownership, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across product and engineering teams.
