Regional Business Manager - Specialty Care & Internal Medicine / Chef – Affaires régionales – Soins spécialisé et médecine interne (SSMI)

This field-based leadership role is responsible for driving commercial performance and patient impact across the Ontario Central/East region. You will lead the deployment of people, resources, and investments while developing regional strategies that support sustainable sales and profitability. As a member of the sales leadership team, you will coach and develop a high-performing team while promoting strong commercial and customer engagement practices. The role requires close collaboration with marketing, head office, and other cross-functional partners to translate national strategies into effective regional execution. You will also build relationships with strategic customers and influential healthcare stakeholders while identifying local insights and opportunities. With up to 60% travel across the territory, this is a highly visible role suited to an experienced commercial leader who thrives in dynamic healthcare environments.
- Lead regional commercial performance by delivering sales results and maximizing revenue and profitability.
- Develop and execute local business plans with short- and long-term sales objectives, while identifying opportunities to increase customer value and reduce operational costs.
- Contribute to broader regional and provincial performance through strategic initiatives that extend beyond the assigned geography.
- Drive sales excellence by promoting core engagement standards, high-quality dialogue, effective messaging, and strategic customer targeting.
- Provide regular, impactful coaching through both in-person and virtual interactions, supporting the development and performance of team members.
- Provide cross-functional leadership across the region and coordinate the deployment of expertise through face-to-face and omnichannel approaches.
- Partner closely with marketing and head office teams to align regional execution with brand strategies and initiatives.
- Develop and execute strategic customer plans and lead integrated customer planning across the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with influential local healthcare stakeholders and use knowledge of the healthcare environment to inform business strategies.
- Provide regional insights and recommendations to cross-functional partners to support effective decision-making.
- Foster employee engagement, development, collaboration, adaptability, and a strong organizational culture.
- Maintain full compliance across commercial activities and ensure adverse events and product complaints are identified and reported according to established procedures.
Requirements

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute regional business plans in complex healthcare or commercial environments.
- Proven people leadership and coaching capabilities, with the ability to develop talent and drive meaningful business outcomes.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across different teams and levels.
- Deep understanding of customers and healthcare ecosystems, including established relationships with key stakeholders and knowledge of local healthcare dynamics.
- Patient-centric mindset combined with strong commercial and strategic business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills, including advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners across Canada and internationally.
- Professional proficiency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues outside Quebec and Canada.
- University degree in business, science, or a related discipline.
- Strong leadership agility, adaptability, and ability to navigate change and ambiguity.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory, with up to 60% travel for field visits and coaching.
