This is a hands-on technical consulting role focused on developing, maintaining, and supporting SAP IS-U solutions within the utilities domain.
You will work across core utility processes including billing, invoicing, device management, FICA, and customer service.
The role involves designing and delivering ABAP solutions across reports, interfaces, enhancements, conversions, and forms.
You will collaborate closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable and scalable technical solutions.
The position also involves debugging, performance optimization, integration testing, issue resolution, and UAT support.
You will have the opportunity to work with modern SAP environments, including S/4HANA and HANA-based landscapes where applicable.
This opportunity is well suited to an experienced SAP professional who combines strong technical expertise with utility-domain knowledge and effective stakeholder collaboration.

Design, develop, maintain, and support ABAP programs within SAP IS-U environments.
Develop and enhance RICEF objects, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
Build and maintain ABAP reports using technologies such as ALV and other relevant reporting frameworks.
Develop and maintain SmartForms, Adobe Forms, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and other custom SAP objects.
Support SAP IS-U functionality across Billing, Invoicing, FICA, Device Management, and related processes.
Work with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Develop and maintain integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services, and other interface technologies.
Perform technical debugging, root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
Participate in system integration testing and provide technical support during UAT activities.
Investigate production issues and implement appropriate fixes while maintaining system stability and performance.
Contribute to technical documentation, solution design, testing, and deployment activities.
Support SAP CRM integrations and connections with external systems where required.
Work effectively across technical and functional teams to ensure successful delivery of SAP IS-U solutions.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience as an SAP ABAP Technical Consultant, Developer, or similar technical role.
Strong hands-on experience with ABAP development, including Reports, ALV, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, Enhancements, BADIs, and User Exits.
Practical experience working with SAP IS-U and its key modules, including Billing, FICA, Device Management, and related utility functionality.
Good understanding of utilities business processes and how they translate into SAP IS-U technical requirements.
Experience developing and supporting integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services, and similar technologies.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, performance-tuning, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
Experience collaborating with functional consultants and translating business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
Experience participating in system integration testing and supporting UAT activities.
Knowledge or experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP IS-U on HANA is preferred.
Familiarity with SAP CRM and integration with external systems is an advantage.
Previous experience supporting global utilities clients is desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to technical challenges.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within distributed technical and functional teams.
