As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems operating at significant scale. You will contribute across the full engineering lifecycle, from translating business requirements into technical designs to developing, deploying, and supporting production systems. The role combines deep backend expertise in Java and Spring Boot with hands-on front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks. You will work closely with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and fellow developers within an Agile environment. Your work will focus on delivering secure, scalable, performant, and maintainable solutions that support strategic business needs. This fully remote opportunity offers experienced engineers the chance to work on complex cloud-native applications and distributed architectures.

Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems.
Translate business and technical requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable system designs.
Develop production-quality backend services using Java 11/17 and Spring Boot.
Design and implement clean, reliable RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Build responsive, component-driven front-end applications using React and modern JavaScript technologies.
Design and operate microservices, including service decomposition, inter-service communication, and observability patterns.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and database schemas across relational database platforms.
Deploy and support cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, or GCP and applicable managed services.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, code reviews, and release processes.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and document findings and solutions clearly.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and other developers in an Agile environment.
Contribute to secure, performant, reliable applications throughout their operational lifecycle.
Support event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ where applicable.
Contribute to automated testing and modern development practices, including test-driven or behavior-driven development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
5+ years of professional software development experience building production-grade enterprise applications.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, computational complexity, and end-to-end system design principles.
Advanced proficiency in Java 11 and 17 and the Spring Boot framework.
Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Hands-on production experience with microservices architectures, including service decomposition, inter-service communication, and observability.
Proven experience developing front-end applications with React; familiarity with Angular or Vue is a strong plus.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Experience with query optimization and database schema design.
Solid understanding of CI/CD tooling and Git-based version control workflows, including branching, code reviews, and release management.
Hands-on experience deploying applications to at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with cloud managed services, networking, and identity fundamentals.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or comparable event-streaming platforms is preferred.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments is preferred.
Understanding of distributed systems concepts such as eventual consistency, CAP trade-offs, idempotency, and saga patterns is a plus.
Experience developing automated tests using modern testing frameworks and contributing to TDD or BDD practices is preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and product teams.
