This is a senior cybersecurity leadership role responsible for shaping and advancing enterprise identity security across systems, applications, cloud environments, and privileged technology resources.
You will define the IAM strategy, architecture, standards, and maturity roadmap while driving greater automation and consistency across the organization.
The role spans authentication, privileged access, access governance, directory services, and identity lifecycle management, with a strong focus on reducing security risk.
You will work across Cybersecurity, IT, Cloud, Infrastructure, HR, application, and business teams to establish sustainable and scalable identity practices.
A key part of the position is modernizing fragmented and manual processes through policy-driven controls, automation, and measurable security improvements.
You will also provide technical leadership, develop IAM talent, and strengthen knowledge transfer and succession planning for critical security capabilities.
This opportunity is well suited to an experienced IAM leader who can combine strategic thinking, technical depth, risk management, and cross-functional influence.

Lead the development and execution of the enterprise IAM strategy, roadmap, and capability maturity plan across authentication, privileged access, access governance, and identity lifecycle services.
Establish identity security architecture direction, implementation standards, reusable patterns, reference designs, and control frameworks for workforce identities, privileged accounts, service accounts, application access, and cloud integrations.
Develop automated and policy-driven controls covering joiner, mover, leaver, access-request, access-review, provisioning, deprovisioning, and privileged-access processes.
Lead identity risk reviews, access governance assessments, and senior-level risk discussions involving critical systems, privileged resources, and high-risk access scenarios.
Define identity security assurance approaches to identify excessive access, orphaned accounts, privilege misuse, weak authentication, and lifecycle-control gaps.
Direct the maturation and effective use of IAM, IGA, PAM, directory, MFA, SSO, federation, and identity analytics capabilities, ensuring controls are effective and remediation is measurable.
Manage a portfolio of IAM programs from requirements and design through implementation, operational transition, maturity, and continuous service improvement.
Assess enterprise IAM capability gaps and sponsor practical implementation roadmaps in partnership with Cybersecurity, IT, Cloud, Infrastructure, HR, application, and business stakeholders.
Advise cybersecurity and technology leadership on identity priorities, risk trade-offs, service improvements, platform investments, and operating-model decisions.
Lead, coach, and develop IAM professionals while establishing knowledge-transfer practices, succession planning, and sustainable coverage for critical identity capabilities.
Develop cybersecurity countermeasures, identity risk mitigation approaches, and implementation guidance aligned with technology and business requirements.
Maintain strong senior-stakeholder relationships and cross-functional communication to support IAM delivery, prioritization, adoption, and operational effectiveness.
Establish configuration and change-management practices throughout IAM implementation, transition, and ongoing operations.
Evaluate the effectiveness and maturity of identity security controls and drive measurable improvements across applications, services, privileged resources, and related processes.
Maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, access standards, and knowledge-transfer materials that support sustainable IAM operations and succession planning.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
At least 8 years of experience in IAM, cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud engineering, application security, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of identity and access management concepts, architectures, operating models, and governance practices.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity and privacy principles as they apply to authentication, authorization, access governance, and privileged access.
Knowledge of enterprise identity risk-management processes, including assessing, prioritizing, and mitigating identity security risks.
Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, federation, SSO, MFA, and access-control methods.
Experience with IAM, IGA, PAM, directory services, identity lifecycle management, and secure architecture principles.
Understanding of identity-security requirements across cloud platforms, applications, infrastructure, privileged resources, and third-party access scenarios.
Knowledge of automation, workflow, API integration, and policy-driven provisioning and deprovisioning practices.
Familiarity with identity analytics, access certification, entitlement management, privileged-session controls, and service-account governance.
Ability to assess identity security controls, control maturity, and residual risk using established cybersecurity principles and practices.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex identity, access, operational, and risk concepts to technical teams, business stakeholders, and cybersecurity leadership.
Ability to develop strategic roadmaps, decision materials, technical standards, operating procedures, and documentation that support sustainable IAM services.
Strong skills in automation, scripting, API integration, workflow design, and policy-based access-control approaches.
Ability to analyze access, entitlement, account, configuration, interoperability, and control-testing data to support risk-based decisions.
Experience evaluating, selecting, implementing, and maturing IAM, IGA, PAM, MFA, SSO, federation, directory, and identity analytics capabilities.
Ability to identify identity security weaknesses, prioritize remediation, and drive risk reduction through cross-functional initiatives.
Ability to translate technical and business requirements into scalable IAM operating models, services, controls, and measurable outcomes.
Strong influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with Infrastructure, Cloud, HR, application development, Cybersecurity, vendors, and business teams without relying solely on direct authority.
Demonstrated people leadership, coaching, prioritization, and cybersecurity decision-making skills across confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation requirements.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Microsoft identity, IGA, PAM, or identity-platform certifications are preferred.
