As a Senior Marketing Ops Strategist, you will support complex B2B and B2C lead-generation accounts by building and optimizing the systems that power marketing and revenue operations.
You will own marketing automation, CRM processes, lead capture, nurturing, qualification, reporting, and sales and marketing alignment.
The role combines hands-on technical execution with strategic problem-solving, process design, and client-facing advisory work.
You will work across sophisticated marketing technology stacks, troubleshoot integrations, and develop scalable automations and reporting solutions.
You will also provide senior-level guidance to other Marketing Operations professionals through mentoring, training, and strategy sessions.
This is a contract, project-based opportunity in a collaborative environment where you will manage complex accounts and contribute to the ongoing development of marketing operations practices.
- Establish and maintain strong Marketing Operations foundations, including Marketing Automation Platform and CRM setup, migrations, data cleanup, custom objects, behavioral events, integrations, and system configurations, primarily using HubSpot.
- Maintain clean and efficient CRM environments through deduplication, field standardization, asset organization, contact purges, sync-error resolution, compliance setup, and custom-field consolidation.
- Develop sales and marketing alignment strategies, including target audience and ICP definitions, segmentation, lifecycle funnel automation, workflows, lead qualification, and scoring models.
- Optimize existing Marketing Operations environments by building CRM dashboards, improving qualification automation, creating campaigns and SOPs, troubleshooting systems, and developing custom reports and dashboards.
- Support high-level sales operations through KPI field configuration, lead-status and speed-to-lead tracking, sales performance reporting, and processes that promote consistent CRM usage and clean data entry.
- Audit prospective and existing client systems, identify opportunities to improve services and products, and contribute insights that strengthen the wider Marketing Operations function.
- Mentor and support other team members through strategy sessions, training, deliverable reviews, and feedback, while documenting processes and supporting client or sales-team enablement.
- Manage approximately 6–8 complex client accounts, with a target RPE of $25K/month and a 90% client retention goal.
- Lead accounts with high workflow volume or complexity, contribute actively to team development, and collaborate closely with colleagues across internal departments.
Requirements
~1 min read- 4+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, marketing automation, or a closely related role.
- Expert-level HubSpot experience and proficiency with Pardot; experience with additional Marketing Automation Platforms and CRM systems is a plus.
- High proficiency in Salesforce, including intermediate capabilities such as report and dashboard creation, campaign setup and reporting, field configuration and mapping, record customization, and intermediate-to-advanced automation.
- Experience with sales and marketing technologies such as ZoomInfo, SalesLoft, Insycle, and 6sense, with a strong understanding of how these systems integrate with Marketing Automation Platforms and CRMs.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues across marketing technology stacks, including CRM systems and integrations.
- Experience designing and implementing complex processes, workflows, and automations.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain complex Marketing Operations strategies and recommendations clearly.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and structuring complex problems through a hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
- Experience mentoring, training, or providing strategic guidance to other Marketing Operations professionals is important for the senior scope of the role.
