This role sits within a cloud platform infrastructure team focused on building reliable, scalable, and secure technology services. You will help ensure the quality of distributed cloud systems while designing and maintaining sophisticated test automation frameworks. The position combines software engineering, quality assurance, cloud infrastructure, and systems testing. You will work on highly available and performance-sensitive environments supporting large-scale applications and services. The role offers significant technical scope, with opportunities to improve engineering processes and influence the reliability of cloud platforms. You will collaborate with experienced engineers in an agile, remote environment while working with modern technologies such as Kubernetes, containers, and infrastructure-as-code.

Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for cloud-based and microservice deployments.
Build and execute functional and non-functional tests to validate system reliability, scalability, performance, and security.
Develop high-quality, organized, efficient, and well-documented automation code using Python and/or Go.
Improve internal testing processes, tools, and systems to increase efficiency, coverage, and software quality.
Test distributed systems, containers, Kubernetes environments, and infrastructure-as-code implementations.
Contribute to the development and validation of highly available, scalable, secure, and performant cloud infrastructure.
Integrate and maintain automation within CI/CD environments using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Investigate defects and system issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement effective solutions.
Participate in agile development practices and contribute technical expertise to cross-functional cloud engineering initiatives.

Requirements

5+ years of relevant experience in software development, software testing, test automation, SDET, or a closely related engineering role.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong programming skills in Python or Go, with the ability to write maintainable, efficient, and well-structured code.
Solid understanding of GNU/Linux systems programming and networking concepts.
Hands-on experience with functional and non-functional testing of containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and related cloud technologies.
Experience developing or working with automation frameworks and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern software development practices.
Experience working in agile environments and collaborating effectively with software developers, infrastructure engineers, and other technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and globally distributed environment.
